Café SERU No. 4 on AI and software engineering

Hoa Khanh Dam of the Decision Systems Lab at the University of Wollongong, Australia, was our first guest of 2020. He gave Café SERU No. 4, “Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering (AI4SE and SE4AI)”, on 3 January 2020 in room IT405. The talk showed how AI can help software teams, from automating routine tasks to providing project analytics and actionable recommendations, and even making decisions. It also explored the new challenges of engineering large AI-based systems. Hoa Khanh Dam has worked with SERU members for years, for example on Sprint2Vec, our IEEE TSE paper of 2025.
