V-Achilles at ASE 2022
Vipawan Jarukitpipat presented V-Achilles in the Tool Demo track of ASE 2022, the 37th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automated Software Engineering, which CORE ranks A*, on 13 October 2022 in Rochester, Michigan, USA. The tool helps developers update vulnerable dependencies in npm projects by showing, as dependency graphs, which packages a vulnerability affects through both direct and transitive dependencies. Vipawan built it with Klinton Chhun and Wachirayana Wanprasert as their undergraduate graduation project, with professors from SERU and NAIST. V-Achilles was an early step in our work with NAIST on the security of software dependencies, which later produced DepSecLens, an Honorable Mention at NSC 2026.
