Typhon at NSC 2023

Natanon Ritta, Veerakit Prasertpol, and Paphon Sae-Wong presented Typhon at the 25th National Software Contest (NSC 2023) on 1 April 2023, where their project reached the poster round. Typhon is a Visual Studio Code extension that recommends relevant code cells in Jupyter notebooks based on a given Markdown text. The tool came out of their senior project on recommending code cells in Jupyter notebooks, which Chaiyong Ragkhitwetsagul advised with Raula Gaikovina Kula of NAIST as part of a NAIST research internship. The team later described Typhon in a paper at JCSSE 2024 in Phuket, written with Thanapon Noraset and Morakot Choetkiertikul.

Natanon had earlier studied how competitors reuse their own code in Jupyter notebooks, in an ERA paper at APSEC 2022.
